The Sunset Water District has served a neighborhood in northwest Fort Collins since 1947. We are a small, local utility company which allows us to provide quality water to our customers at an extremely competitive price. Our water is treated at the Soldier Canyon water treatment facility managed by the East Larimer County Water District (ELCO) which also serves many rural areas of Larimer and Weld county. More information about ELCO can be found at http://www.elcowater.org.
Outdoor Watering Restrictions
The City of Fort Collins and ELCO have imposed outdoor watering restrictions beginning October 1 due to maintenance at Horsetooth Reservoir. These restrictions apply to Sunset Water District as well. For more information refer to the City’s web site at https://fcgov.com/HOP.
